The UK Butterfly Monitoring Scheme (UKBMS) is formed from a merger of the long-running Butterfly Monitoring Scheme (BMS) and Butterfly Conservation's co-ordination of 'independent' transects.

Europe

Butterflies and moths are declining in most countries across Europe. Action is needed urgently at a European level to halt their decline and restore a countryside rich in butterflies, moths and other wildlife.

The European Interests Group is a member-based organisation within Butterfly Conservation. It aims to promote conservation work, encourage recording in Europe and work with partner organisations to lobby European governments. The group was established in March 2007
