Tyria jacobaeae (72.031)

The Cinnabar is a widespread and common species in Warwickshire although its numbers have declined in many areas due to the removal of Ragwort. It is easily disturbed during the day and will willingly take to the air.

The Cinnabar is on the wing from May through till mid-August.
